Calpe / Calp is a city in the province of Alicante. It is a very popular tourist destination, especially among British and German tourists. It is a gigantic and imposing granite rock more than 600 meters high. An emblem of the city and one of the most beautiful places, there is no more beautiful postcard in Calpe than the one that this mountain offers us at sunset. This is why one of the most popular activities is the climb to the Rock. But Calpe not only has that, Calpe breathes history on all four sides. Here are archaeological remains dating from the Bronze Age, but it was during the time of the Roman Empire when the city acquired great importance, thanks to its strategic location. It has an inheritance from the cultures that passed through there, the ruins of the Baths of the Queen remain from the Romans, it was also invaded by the Muslims, but the remains of the defensive wall and the Torre de la Peça already belong to the time of the Christian conquest. In addition to history, Calpe offers you more than 12km of coastline with a very varied geography. Its 14 beaches are synonymous with quality and scenic beauty.
